Although the fear will always be there but you somehow learn how control it. Photographing strangers is the hardest thing to do. You never know what to expect when they notice you shooting their photo. Yet, oddly enough people enjoy being photographed.

When she noticed me shooting her photo, she gladly smiled. I give her and her groom a thumbs up after.

9/11 Remembered


As I was heading home to wrap up todays street shoot. I saw this guy waving the flag with so much gusto that I can’t help but capture it. I slowly inched my way to them to get a better shot, and from the corner of his eye he noticed me creeping up on them. He gave me a wink as he screamed, “USA, USA, USA!” Realizing that I’ve been caught I smile and asked if it’s okay if I take their photo. They gladly obliged with a shaka.

His name is Pierre and he’s a long way from home. People say he’s from Lyon, France. How he ended up in Hawaii, no one knows. Since he’s a mime his story will never be told.
